To take first position is not important. For example if there are three students and they secure 63, 67 and 69 marks out of 100, then the student who obtained 69 marks stands first among the three. Eventhough he has not secured grade A. Therefore coming first is not issue. Actual issue is scoring A1 marks and comparing my score with my previous one not with another person.
