Before going to Cadet College I was also living a very simple life. Daily five hours in school then whole day at home in the evening some time with friends. Watching dreams of becoming a cadet but then finally one day I was also preparing myself to go there because all preparations were made to send me there.
First day was full of excitement. Everything was new for all of us and one thing was good that there was only one senior sharing room with us.
In the night we all were crying like we were in a crying competition. But one thing was strange that we were showing like we are not crying.
For the next week they thought us rules and regulations. Punishment was at its peak but we all were helpless over there and there was no way to get out of that hell. So we all decided to bear it quietly.
Life was going smooth. But along with this we were enjoying this life also. There were rules more than our syllabus. Only one day was allowed to us to talk to our family. And in the first week when we were talking to our parents we were sad. but our teachers also said us one thing that, “ now you are going to be a real soldier so never tell your father that you are dying when you are on a fight with enemy because he will be worried about you”
So we were just telling them about our daily routine nothing more. We were bearing it all alone.
Days passed then months passed but we were there. When I went home for my first vacations for the two days I was sleeping. During conversations with my family I recall my elder brother as Bhai Jan (we called our seniors in cadet as Bhai Jan). My family usually takes it as a good joke. After vacations I was again with my friends sharing my sorrows with them. And again same routine was started. I passed my first year in college then we were in ninth grade with more responsibilities. And that year was really a good one for me. I participated in many competitions. And I also won some of them. Then in November my sister also represented her college in a competition that was going to be held at our college. And she also got second position in that all Pakistan elite easy competition.
And then in remaining four months of 9th class I started to study hard. And after examination we all were sending to our homes for two week rest.
And now I am in 10th grade. But I am not the same Sheraz who was admitted here as an 8th grade student. Now I enjoy my life with my friends and some time also break some rules and talk to my family on my friend’s hidden mobile.
Some cadet have phone over here but they always hide them when they found principal on round and many time they also got punishments from our principal and he usually ask them to front roll. Our captain is a strict person but he also understands our feelings .but that does not mean that he forgive us. He is strict about his job. Tomorrow I am going to participate in comparing in elite competition 2012.
