"Um, no thanks. I already picked up mum's famous lemonade in a bottle. And I'm not thirsty. Sorry." Annie replied to Angeline when they got off the bus. Angeline made a face as they hurried to the drinks counter."Oh. Well would you like to have a candy? I have a LOT of money, seriously." Angeline said as she showed Annie her little pink wallet. Annie twitched. What is she up to?? “I’ll have the Choco Frosting Dip." she said "Ok then, I'll have a drink. One sugary Raspberry fizz please." Angeline said to the drinks lady and paid. She took her drink and sat down with Annie on the last bench of the cafeteria. Annie nibbled her sweet. "Hey Angeline, why are you so nice to me today? We've ALWAYS been enemies." Annie asked, and licked the syrup off the stick. Angeline took a few more sips of her drink and finally, she said "Hmm. I thought you'd never realise. I don't want to tell you. I just bought the candy 'cause you would think I was sweet." She tossed her strawberry blonde curls dramatically and took her drink and went away. Great, I fell for it AGAIN. Annie thought and ate her candy. "Last time I'm getting on the bus. Angeline spoiled the fun."Annie said to herself as the bell rang. Annie picked her bag and went to class.
Annie got on the bus. She had no bicycle or scooter. By the way she was tired; Miss Rosalinda had made her run three laps at gym. She sat next to Angeline, AGAIN. "You again? I had that seat saved for Geoerga. She's new, if you happen to know." Angeline said with a pout.
"Huh, you're the one who spends more time on hair than on things which are important!!"
"Oh really? Well my blond curls are the thickest and healthiest and yellowiest curls of all! Better than your Blonde hair!"
"Yeah I don't care about hair, and you have the most annoying little way of speaking. Squeak Squeak Squeak like a mouse! Never shuts up!"
"No you!!" They kept on fighting and fighting until Angeline went home. When she got off Annie caught a glimpse of shimmering on Angeline's lips as she smiled weakly at the bus driver. She was NOT allergic to lip-gloss. Oh, now I see.......
