Venice is the north-east of Italy, in Europe. THE historic centre of Venice is a city of water built on 118 small islands separated by canals and joined by bridges. The Grand Canal is the main road and is busy with ferries and local boats called gondolas, which carry people across the water. Venice is a treasure trove of historic buildings, many of which contain world-famous paintings. Each year, between October an April, Venice is flooded by the acque alte which means high waters in Italian. My experience about this city is amazing and stunning.
