Robert was roaming down the streets of England when he heard a cry of pain. It was coming from the wine street. Robert went to check it out. When he reached the end of the street, he saw a dog, yelping with pain. Robert was very kind-hearted and it hurt him to see the dog in pain. He always carried bandages with him because he had learnt first aid and he was unlucky. He used to fall down all the time and get bruises. So Robert took out a bandage from his bag and put it on the wounded dog. Robert stared into his innocent, black eyes and felt glad he was better. He said goodbye to the dog and went on. A while later, he felt hungry. He remembered his pound that mother gave him and felt through his pocket to take it out. But it was not there! Robert looked back. He saw the dog behind him and in his mouth was the lost pound! Robert was very happy and adopted that dog as his pet. Do you know what the dog's name was-yes!
