“There are so many things that are 7 in this world. For example 7 days in a week, 7 gates of Hell, 7 wonders of the world, the 7 sisters, 7 parts of Harry Potter, 7 components of food, 7 skies and 7 people who look like you!”My teacher exclaimed. When she said the last line my mouth opened. And I think my teacher regretted saying that because till the end of the term I kept on asking her questions like ‘Are twins’ exceptions and etc. ’
Now I was in my car and my parents were dropping me to ‘Forest Elementary Club’ as they were going on a business trip and they knew that I would not rest until I find my ‘7 look-a-likes’. I had a twin but sadly she died 2 years back. She was my best friend and after her death I was never able to make friends or if I made some I could never keep them. ‘So I guess that makes it 6?’ I thought, swallowing my tears. Finally we reached that club.
It was so cool. After seeing my room and after saying good-bye to my parents I decided to explore the huge and luxurious building. I decided to explore the area outside the building. I thought it would be quite boring but it was almost like my dream come true.
I bumped into the Head-Mistress of the club. She must have thought that I was lonely so she took me into another building which was big but quite small compared to the other ones. Here I found out was the staff of the club and their rooms. But here was also the room of the Head-Mistress’s daughter. She called out her name, “Wajeeha, see who is here!” I gasped her name was my name. But when she came in her face was also my face. Her mother had gone after calling out to her for some refreshments. We both just stood there and gaped at each other. ‘WOW’! Wajeeha exclaimed. Her voice was so identical to mine! Just within an hour I had become best friends with her and it felt so nice to be there. I also found out that she was adopted, not the real daughter of the Head-Mistress (HM which was her nickname). She was exactly like me. We both had the same vague ideas in our mind. HM allowed me to stay in the same building and after 2 days she changed Wajeeha’s bed into a bunk bed so that I could sleep with her in her room. HM was loved by every member of the club. When all of the registered members had arrived HM decided to take us to the forest which was only 1.5 miles away from our club. We had to make groups of two and at once Wajeeha jumped up and registered us together. Later she came in, upset and said “Did you want to side with someone else? If so I can make HM change it.” “No, you’re the best partner ever” I said giving her a short squeeze.
On our trip we had so much fun building a tree house and then living in it, leaf and log collecting contests and the best of all, ‘The Camp fire’. It wasn’t a contest but simply we had to sit on logs, drink hot chocolate with marshmallows but we ate Doritos instead. And who ever won anything would win a life time supply of Hersheys’. I asked my parents to delay picking me up until my vacations were at an end. With a teary goodbye to my best friend I went home.
After that I made many good friends but none of them was as special as Wajeeha. When I got 1stposition in my class, my parents decided to throw a party.
The special visitor was kept a surprise from me and when the special guest came it was Wajeeha herself! I was so happy but HM was not there. When I asked Wajeeha, her eyes got full of tears and she whispered ‘HM died of a heart-attack’. Wajeeha had gone to an orphanage and I could see that she had slimmed down quite a lot. On my birthday came the biggest surprise of all. My parents had adopted Wajeeha! That was the happiest moment of my life. The only problem was our name but I loved it when my mom called me but Wajeeha came instead and when she was called I came. It was such fun. What I had lost had been given back to me from Allah.
