Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the last prophet of Allah. He was born in Makkah. His father was Abdullah. His mother was Amna. He was born as an orphan because his father died before his birth. At his birth, he was given to his foster-mother Haleema. At, the age of 2 years he was given back to his mother. He lived with 2 years with his mother because his mother died when he was only 4 years. Now, his Grandfather looked after him. His grandfather also died when he was only 6 years. Now, his Uncle Abu-Talib took him to his home. From Khadija, our Prophet had 6 children. The two sons were:
1. Qasim
2. Ibrahim
The 4 daughters were:
1. Zainab
2. Ruqqia
3. Umm-e-Kalsoom
4. Fatima
The both sons of Muhammad (PBUH) died in the lifetime of their childhood. Muhammad (PBUH) has got the title 'Abu-l-Qasim' because of his son Qasim. Fatima was the beloved daughter of our prophet (PBUH). Ali later became the son-in-law of Muhammad (PBUH) by the marriage with Fatima. Muhammad's best friend was Abu-Bakar.
Our prophet died at the age of 63.He was buried in the part of Masjid-e-Nabwi. At, his death all the Muslims were very sad because the greatest man of the world has been died.
The sayings of Muhammad are known as Hadith. Muhammad is the only Prophet of Allah whose name ends with Peace Be upon Him. It is compulsory on Muslims that when they heard the name of Muhammad they should say Peace Be upon Him.
