One man asked Socrates, ‘What is the secret to success?’ Socrates replied, ‘You will your answer tomorrow if you meet me by the river’. After hearing this, the man agreed. The next day the man and Socrates came at the river. Socrates suggested that we should go in the river, the man agreed. Socrates took his hand and they both went to the river. Then surprisingly Socrates held the man from his head and put him in the water. The man was trying to get out but Socrates was strong enough to hold him in the water. The man struggled so hard to get out of the water. The man’s head turned pale blue and yet Socrates held him in the river. The man struggled and struggled until Socrates’ grip was loose. Socrates asked the man, ‘What did you wanted the most when you were down there?’ the man replied,’ I needed air I needed badly’. The man was almost out of breath. Socrates looked at and said, ‘Then there’s your answer when you needed air you struggled so much you kept moving you arms and legs and you didn’t give up. If you want success as badly as you want air you will get it. There is no other secret to success.
