DENGUE is a hemorrhagic fever which was recognized in 1950s and transmitted by the bite of mosquito called aedes aegypti. This mosquito lives in stagnant water. The symptoms of this disease are headache, severe fever, pain in joints and skin rashes. These symptoms appear 3 to 14 days after the infective bite of mosquito. There is no vaccine for this disease. There are four distinct types of viruses of DENGUE. Till now no vaccine is prepared which work on all these four distinct viruses so for preparing a vaccine for DENGUE it must be noted that vaccine should affect all four distinct viruses of DENGUE. The only way to get rid of DENGUE is to combat the growth of mosquito.
