Ramadan, the Holy month of Ramadan not only means to me the month of fasting, but also the month of righteousness. These are the 30 days which are really a gift from Allah. Allah himself gives us a chance to attain Jannah and whoever avails this chance is the best person in the world. For me fasting not only means to stay hungry and thirsty till dawn but it also means avoiding all types of evil works such as watching TV, listening to music, giving rude remarks, using abusive language, fighting, stealing and others. For me these things are also part of fasting. It is mentioned in a Hadith that Allah says that fasting is for me and I will give you the reward of fasting. The Holy month of Ramadan brings many joys with itself. During Ramadan the whole family sits together at Suhoor and Iftaar, go together for Taraweeh, read Quran together and do Adhkaar. We should never ever forget the poor and the needy and help them in every possible. Ramadan is actually a blessing and gift from Allah. We should thank Him so much that He gave us one whole month to perform as much good deeds as we can. He shuts the Satan and doubles the reward of good deeds. I thank Allah so much that he gave me a chance to receive this Ramadan as for many couldn’t receive this Ramadan. And we all should thanks Allah so much for this blessed month. I think so that when Allah has given us a whole month so that we can get forgiveness from Him then we should not even waste a single moment, keeping in mind that maybe this is our last Ramadan. May Allah accept our fasts.
