Aisha woke up with a start, cold sweat beading down her face, feeling hot. Aisha looked around her dark room, "It was just a dream" she told herself, "it was just a dream" she repeated. Aisha could not get the scary shadows and sounds out of her head. After, she took a deep breath and went back to sleep. A while later her eyes opened, a panicked expression on her face, this time, she was crying. Her fears have gotten the best of her, so she went out in the dark hallway and went to her parents’ room. Aisha's mother and father were asleep soundly and she could not bear to wake them up. So she went to her brother, Umar's room. Umar was 13 and Aisha was 8, but she felt very close to Umar and usually asked him for help. Aisha softly knocks on his door, "Umar? Can I come in?" Umar got up and opened the door. Aisha felt like she was going blind, he had his lights on. Aisha shielded her eyes, "Don't worry, you'll get used to it."
