There was once a girl. Her name was Jane. She was very boastful. Her friends got tired of her always saying something or other. She boasted about her frocks, “You know my aunty gave me two new frocks. You should see them. They are wonderful…” And went on and on. One day, as she was going home from school, she saw a small man coming towards her. He said, “Hello, I am Sparky and I am a gnome. I have heard of you. Aren’t you boastful Jane? I have two brothers. They are the best boasters in fairy land. Their names are Pip and Joe. I bet even you couldn’t beat them in boasting”. He took Jane to his home. She was amazed by his two boasting brothers. She boasted to them about her clothes. Pip said, “I have 50 hats all different”. Jane said, “You are lying”. “Come here”, said Pip, “I will show you that I am not lying” and showed her 50 hats all different in a large cupboard. Then Joe said, “I have a pair of shoes made of gold” and showed Jane the gold boots. Jane stood mouth open in surprise. Then she saw a chocolate bun on the shelf. She was so hungry that without asking, she ate the whole bun. Pip and Joe screamed. Pip said, “You ate the stop-boasting bun!” Jane got very angry and went home. The next day in school, she boasted, “I have been to a mountain that nobody has ever gone to before”. Her nose started getting really long. She at once stopped boasting. When she stopped boasting, her nose got to the same size again. From that day forward, she stopped boasting.
Reply to Wajeeha and Ajwa: I did not copy it and I did not cheat. I took ideas from here and there and also added things on my own. What else do you expect from an 8 year old??? Give complete reference of the story that you think I have cheated from including book name, writer name and story name. You have no right to comment so rudely on a third grader's innocent attempt to write.
