Have you ever felt like that your sibling, friend, neighbour or cousin has something better than you? Or you are jealous of something you don’t have? Or you are not satisfied with your own thing? I ‘am sure most of you would say yes! A wise man quoted ‘The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence’. And yes it is truth that other’s luxuries make us jealous which gives birth to an additional desire which dissatisfies us from our own things. Human’s nature basically includes that feel of jealousy and dissatisfaction. Dissatisfaction starts from very young age, even a small child never has satisfactory with his toys, He always want more and new ones. Although he have many other toys to play with but he would ask for particularly that one which he saw which he saw while playing with his friends or neighbour which made him dissatisfied with this own toys. As we grow older our desires and dissatisfaction also grow with us which don’t let us be happy with what we have and forces us to get exactly what we are jealous of. In order to overcome this problem we should try to be happy with what Almighty Allah has given us, as it is also said that ‘desires don’t die until the man is alive’. Concluding my thoughts I personally believe that we should not damage our cottage after having a look on other’s bungalow and we should try to achieve more and more by working hard as life is a race and everyone wishes to win it. It’s better to not get something rather than getting it by doing an act which is not admissible in our religion and society.
