Abu Bakr As-Siddiq

Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, (Abdallah ibn Abi Quhafa) is the father-in-law and one of the closest companions of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He is also the first orthodox caliph and one of the Companions of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) who were given the good news of Heaven in their lives.
He was born in 573 C.E. in the Banu Taym branch of Quraish. Abu Bakr was his patronymic name. He was the most respectful and attractive personality in Makkah. Abu Bakr was the first person to embrace Islam among men.
He was also the most trusted companion of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and also earned the title of "As-Siddiq" (the most truthful and sincere person in faith) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
He accompanied the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) in his migration to Madinah. He donated all the households and the property when Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) desired to do so in the way of Allah. Abu Bakr was the only one who led around 18 prayers in the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He was chosen as the first caliph after the death of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
He made a call for Jihad against those who after the death of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), over-ridded the rule to pay Zakat. He also sent an expedition to tackle Musaylma Kazzab, a self-acclaimed prophet.
