Its 100% right that a slightly punishment is necessary.for the unattentive and annoying students in the class. Teachers should be a liltle strict and loving to make understand the child,so that he or she could correct their mistakes, but some of the children think that what am doing or talking is accurate.No its not.They must think positive.Sometimes its wrong.Nothing happens if u have done a mistake, infact we learn from our mistakes.So its gud!!! |

Yes, a child shud be kept under control and take his studies seriously, and in order to do that, the teachers shud be a little strict with the unattentive students. After all, its 4 the student's own good! The teachers shud support and encourage children if they r unable 2 grasp the subject, but students who r not taking their studies seriously, just 4 the fun of it and 2 annoy their parents and teachers, then they shud definitely be taught a lesson! I mean if their teachers don't make them attentive and take school seriously, who will? |

Slight punishment is better than being harsh, and if you are harsh to children, unfortunately, there will be consequences. Every child has it's own favourite,and they should take part in their favourites.Parents always want their children to succeed in studies but they also have to give more time on what their children want to be.It's a student's ownership to decide on what they want to be,so,students must be punished BUT not always because they also need a break. |

punishing a child over and over is not the correct way. it makes him more stubborn. I agree to what ashna says.we can change a childs mind by telling and making him understand the things patiently and gently. But a slight punishment overtime will keep the child in limits otherwise he can get out of bounds. |

I don't think that punishment is the right way to teach kids. One can win over a child by other methods. Punishment just makes the child more obstinate. And punishment just humiliates the kid, which in my opinion is cruel. It lowers the child's dignity. But you should still be firm in a gentle way. |
