Weave a piece of cloth Category: Handicrafts

Try weaving a piece of cloth with some wool.

Steps to be taken

1.  Cut a row of triangular grooves in opposite sides of a piece of thick card.

2.  Wind a strand of wool around the card as shown. This is called the warp.

3.  Thread the needle with another strand of wool and weave it in and out of the warp thread. This is the weft.

4.  When you’ve finished, knot the end and cut the warp threads so that you can remove the card.
