Steps to be taken

1 Tie one end of each of the four pieces of twine to the rubber band, as shown.

2 Carefully make a small hole in each corner of the paper or fabric. Thread a loose end of twine through each corner and tie gently.

3 Snap the rubber band over the cork, and space the threads evenly around it.

4 Hold the cork over your head and throw it into the air. The parachute should float it steadily down to earth.
